Terms & policies
Seller terms version 2026-05-20.v1 — this is the version referenced by the seller sign-in signature.
What DiemSum is
DiemSum is a marketplace where sellers resell unused Venice AI inference capacity and buyers pay per request in USDC on Base using the x402 payment protocol. DiemSum operates the matching, quoting, and settlement plumbing; it is not a bank, custodian of buyer funds, or provider of the underlying models.
Seller terms
- You must own the Venice account behind any API key you vault, and reselling its capacity must be permitted under your agreement with Venice.
- Your Venice key is stored encrypted server-side and is only used to execute paid buyer requests against offers you published. You can disable or remove it at any time; removal quarantines your offers immediately.
- Offers may be paused, quarantined, or delisted by the operator for route health, policy, or abuse reasons. Operator decisions are recorded in an append-only audit log.
- Earnings settle directly to your payout address via the x402 facilitator when a buyer's payment settles on-chain. DiemSum does not hold your funds.
Buyer terms
- Quotes are firm for 5 minutes. The quoted amount is what settles on-chain when you pay — tune the request's max output tokens to control the price.
- If the model runs but settlement fails, output is withheld and delivery resumes automatically (or by retrying with the same payment signature) once settlement completes. If the model never runs, nothing settles.
- Payments are on-chain transfers and are final once settled. If you believe a settled request was not delivered, contact support with the receipt id — every paid request has one.
Data & privacy
- Prompts are never stored — DiemSum keeps only sha256 hashes of requests for receipts and dispute resolution.
- The completion text of a paid request is retained server-side so the exact output can be re-delivered during settlement recovery. It is never exposed through public receipts.
- Wallet addresses, offer metadata, ledger entries, receipts, and audit events are retained as operational records of the marketplace.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as-is during its MVP period. Model output quality, Venice availability, and facilitator uptime are outside DiemSum's control. Nothing here is financial or legal advice.
